If you like to hibernate during the winter and need a fun way to spend time waiting for the ice to melt, Rapala Pro Bass Fishing will no doubt get the job done. If you have spent any amount of time on our site recently, you know just how much we love this game. This is our top fishing video game pick of 2010, hands down.
Available on PSP, PS2, PS3, XBOX 360 and Wii for around $40.

If you fish in the winter, a good pair of gloves are a must. Ive been using Glacier Gloves (model 821BK) for about a year now and when the weather is cold, I don’t leave home without them. Not only do I use them when I fish, they have become my daily winter gloves!

Cost $40 USD

Still looking for gift ideas for your favorite fisherman? Or maybe a gift for yourself? Check out the Facts Of Fishing: 135 Secrets Fish Don’t Want You To Know book by our good chum Dave Mercer.
I checked out this book when I was out shopping this afternoon at chapters. It’s great, well illustrated, and you can just open it anywhere and start reading some great fishing tips! Best of all this book is on sale at chapters for less than 12 bucks! The small form factor makes it great for stocking stuffers too. I know I would be very happy to find one in my stocking this christmas.
Despite being released in the early nineties, Fishing with John is still an awesome show to watch and should not be missed. Follow host John Lurie and his legendary celebrity guests including Willem Dafoe, Matt Dillon, Dennis Hopper and Tom Waits.

Cost: only 20 bucks!
Here’s a little taste of the show if you haven’t seen it before!
Every fisherman should have a decent camera to capture their catches. There are tons of great cameras out there, but here are two of my top picks for fishermen.

Canon D10 – approximately $260
This camera has been around for a couple of years, so the price is now pretty reasonable for what you get. While its not new, it has received excellent reviews from just about every major digital camera site. It shoots stills at a solid 12 mega pixels and captures video at 640×480 – but best of all – it does this underwater too!

Samsung ST500 – approximately $250
Samsung has several offerings with the front and back facing screens (Dual LCD). If you have ever fished alone and tried to photograph yourself with your catch, you know just how valuable this camera could be. It shoots stills at 14 mega pixels and captures video at 720p HD.
