The Latest GoPro Is Here And It’s Smaller Than Ever

You are no doubt familiar with the GoPro brand by now, if you’re not, they are simply the best small action cameras on the planet. With the release of the GoPro Hero3 last year, we were left wondering what tricks they would come up with next. Last week, the new GoPro Hero3+ has been unleashed, and the little camera that could, just got even smaller (20% smaller) and more powerful.

Three new mounts were also revealed, including a new junior chest harness and flex clamp.

GoPro Hero3 Available November 14th

The GoPro Hero2 was just a small improvement over the original Hero, but the Hero3 has made a big jump in both quality and style. We skipped the Hero2 since we already have a few Hero’s at our disposal, but I’d really like to get my hands the next GoPro.

The Hero3 is 25% lighter and 30% smaller than the earlier models, weighing a mere 2.6 ounces. This little camera features a new lens that offers less distortion and improved sharpness. You can expect increased video quality and speed as well as high quality 12MP stills.

The Hero3 will be available in three editions, with the Black Edition boasting the best specs, including a Wi-Fi remote.

Behold The New GoPro Dive Housing

GoPro has finally answered the call for those of us who like to take our films underwater. We previously covered the issues with the curved lens and underwater footage and even reviewed the BlurFix hack to fix the problem on the regular housings. The BlurFix works great, but the new GoPro Dive Housing looks like the quality finished product we were hoping for. The flat glass lens allows for maximum sharpness underwater in all resolutions, free of vingnetting and is waterproof to 60 meters.
