The point-of-view (POV) camera consumer market is exploding right now, with hits from Go Pro and Drift Innovations, it’s important to stand out. That’s what CoutourGPS is trying to do, not only have they included a GPS in their latest model, but perhaps the most impressive part is the continous GPS recording and the contour player that combines your video with a birds eye view on Google Maps. Check out this video below of some wicked ice racing.
There does seem to be some issues with obtaining a GPS lock, but hopefully that just requires some software tweaks, otherwise the ContourGPS looks like a pretty sweet camera. The ContourGPS is going for about $350 bucks and records to microSD cards.
Looks like we missed our mothers day post, but at least we didn’t miss calling our mothers to tell them happy mother’s day. Well, I know I did, and since I’m horrible at remembering dates and calling home I’ll just assume Clive surely did…
I kind of wish I had the camera set to macro mode, the Sanyo’s auto-focus really likes to focus on the water surface for some reason. Anyway, expect a full review of the Sanyo WH1 soon as Clive and I both may be trading them in to purchase a GoPro Hero.
Just check out some of these epic GoPro HD videos and tell me you dont want to see some furious helmet cam fishing!

This exotic fish may be native to southeast asia, but would you believe there’s one place in the United States where you can catch one right along side a largemouth bass. While they’re most commonly found here in aquariums many misinformed owners don’t realize they can grow up to 40″ [...]
The fishing season is off to a fantastic start this year! Last weekend marked the opening of trout season here in Ontario and though I was only able to get out yesterday, my friends and I still managed to have a fantastic day on the river. We woke up early [...]
We haven’t done a caption contest in a while, mostly because it takes a very special picture or video to inspire us. Today we have a video so wild we couldn’t even describe it! Hopefully you’ll have better luck though. The best description of this video left in the comments [...]

My XTRATUF II boots have been the footwear of choice for winter fishing this year and they’ve been fantastic on every outing. I’m sad that they’ll be put away in the next few weeks as summer approaches, but I’m very happy knowing they’re ready and waiting for next winter. When [...]
