Gallery Updates!
Everyone loves gallery updates, including me! While this update to the gallery software I wrote wont be noticeable to you overall, what you will notice however is going to be the alarming rate at which I hope to be filling it in the coming weeks. Editing, watermarking and uploading all these photos take a very long time. So with the help of a few photoshop actions I’ve gotten the editing part almost down to the point where I can open all my files and walk away for a few minutes, but uploading the photos to the gallery was a pain. So on Sunday, after fishing again with Paul, I decided to write some import routines.
24 hours later I’ve completed it enough to test it on the live site! And it almost worked. The server we are running on is using older version of PHP than I’m used to developing on, so there were a few minor bugs to squash.
Enough with the gibberish and on to the photos!! The first gallery I have imported is from a very short trip I had to Key West, Florida, where I got my chance at the famous flats fishing for Tarpon, Bonefish, and more!
I had the opportunity to go on a short charter fishing tour of the famous flats around Key West. I’d seen hours upon hours of Fishing The Flats on TV and now it was my chance to catch some of the species I’d seen on TV.
