This is one of those tattoos that most people may not recognize as being fishing related, unless of course you are a fly fisherman.

Tattoo by Dave Allen of Sugar Shack Tattoo in Kincardine, Ontario Canada.
Both Scott Duncan and David Allen at Sugar Shack are top notch artists who love to fish. If you are looking for a quality fishing tattoo and you live in Ontario, this is the place to go!

My vacation time in Ontario is coming to an end very soon. I got out fishing twice, and plan to get out for pike this tomorrow despite forecasts of rain. I’ve got a ton of photos to sort out, but I’ll just skip to the solitary fish that was caught so far while I was fishing with Scott Duncan.
We were looking for trout, but Scott caught this surprise pike on a fly in a small river!

I took the honors of landing the pike since I had waders on and could get to her easily. She was quickly released to be caught another day, but I’m sure the local trout fisherman wont be too happy to hear about pike this size in thier trout river!

Since I got my first tattoo a few years back, I have been on the lookout for good artists to get work from. Creating a realistic fish tattoo is no easy task, but Canadian artist Scott Duncan makes it look easy. Scott is also a fisherman, which explains his great ability to capture the beauty of fish. Next time I’m in Ontario with a fist full of dollars I’ll be giving him a call. Check out more of his work at Sugar Shack Tattoo dot com.
