The only thing I love more then fishing, is fishing with my son Ash. Sure I don’t get to catch as many fish. I still have to bait his hooks, tie his knots, and cast for him. But when his eyes light up when he sees a fish its all worth it. No matter how small a fish he catches, its always huge to him. Teaching my son about fishing and instilling what will hopefully be a lifetime love of the outdoors is just about the most rewarding thing I have ever done.
Ash hooked his first fish when he was a year and a half, and was slightly scared by the event (he didn’t know what was going on when the line started pulling back!). Catching his second fish was a pretty similar experience, and he wanted me to reel the fish in for him. He had always been pretty shy about touching the fish until our most recent trip when he grabbed a small trout right from my hands!

I cant wait for this release, slated for June 1st on a Blu-Ray 4 disc set. David Attenborough is the narrator for the UK release, and in a mind boggling decision from the BBC, Oprah for the American release. Now, I have no issue with Oprah, but Attenborough is the best of the best – I for one will be willing to pay the extra cash to get a hold of the the UK release.
Five years ago today I kissed the woman who would become my wife, for the first time. Myself, Jordan and a lovely little redhead named Gillian had spent the evening at the only Irish bar in La Paz, Mexico (the only Irish bar in all of Mexico for all I know) I cant remember if we drank green beer, but the drinks were flowing throughout the night. After several hours I was well fueled up on liquid courage, but it took me until the very end of the night before I made my move. The luck of the Irish must have been with me that night though, because when I kissed her, she actually kissed my back!
So your Fishing Fury tip of the day: At the end of the night, find the most beautiful girl you can and kiss her. You never know what will happen next.
Agreed, swinging spiked bats around while water skiing is probably very dangerous. That said, I'm sure these guys are professionals :D
If I'm ever in Chicago it will be very tempting to make the 8 hour [...]
Sounds good to me Jon!
Yeah I'm always big on non-lead options too. Something about the reproductive toxicity of lead makes me uneasy in the nether regions.
