Kype Magazine released their latest issue for 2011 and I’m lucky enough to have a legit print copy! This is the first year I’ve seriously targeted salmonids like steelhead and salmon. It’s a whole new way of thinking about fishing for me, and its great publications like Kype and Steelhead Salmon Trout Fishing that really help me understand some of the finer points. Not just tips and tactics on the fish I’m targeting but also about how these trout fisherman are every bit as crazy fanatical as musky hunters. I don’t want to ruin it for you, but I’ve already read this one several times and the end is the best part.

Check out yet another great online trout, salmon and fly-fishing magazine on the net. I really think these small boutique magazines are just awesome, I’m thinking of putting some time in and design a small best of Fishing Fury magazine.

Its rare to see a fly fishing magazine without a healthy dose of trout fishing (not that theres anything wrong with trout), but the good folks at Blood Knot Magazine have done it! Instead of trout you’ll see a couple of other species you don’t often see caught on the fly, including mako sharks!

Fins + Skins Magazine 2010

Several months back, we were contacted by one of the biggest names in Canadian fishing, Henry Waszczuk. He liked our site so much he asked us to do some piece work for him in his yearly publication of Fins + Skins, a top notch travel, golf and fishing magazine. Naturally, we jumped at the opportunity and I just got a copy of the latest issue in the mail. This issue celebrates both Henry’s 25th year on television and Fishing Fury’s first editorial in a magazine!

Jon and I put our minds together to write two articles, one about our adventures in La Paz, Mexico fishing the Sea Of Cortez, and the second about fishing for bonefish in the Bahamas on a budget. In addition, we made several contributions throughout the magazine. Stay tuned for your chance to get a copy!
