Salmon Fishing With Humpback Whales from BRYAN RINGOS on Vimeo.
We were salmon fishing near Ketchikan, Alaska and a pod of humpback whales surrounded our boat and began diving under us. I edited the footage into a montage video. Your readers may be interested in viewing this rare event.
Tonight, if you’re not already outside be sure to go out after midnight and look for the total lunar eclipse marked by a “blood red” moon. This ultra rare event is the first total lunar eclipse to happen on a the winter solstice in more than 400 years. Normally lunar eclipses happen about twice a year, but this one also coincides with the shortest day of the year, December 21st, and will not happen again until 2094. So it’s easy to say it never happen again in our life times. Best viewing times should be just after 1:30AM.
