Rivers of a Lost Coast is a turn of the century story about a handful of pioneer fisherman that carried their fly rods north into California’s remote north coast and gave birth to a culture that would revolutionize their sport. I had never heard of the Deschutes River before watching this video, but its safe to say its a name I wont soon forget. The Deschutes runs through central Oregon and is a major tributary of the Columbia River meandering its way through stunning scenery. The river is perhaps best known as one of the most productive trout waters in the United States and is a top producer of summer steelhead.
Check out Deschutes Outfitters in more info on fishing this incredible river.
This is a teaser for a video coming soon from burl productions about a month long expedition to explore a remote river deep in the heartland of outer Mongolia. We covered 140 miles of water that had previously never been floated and fished. Along the way we met some really interesting locals, caught some amazing fish and discovered things about our selves and how we fit into this crazy world we now live in.
