Apex Predator Fishing Shirts

There seems to a push for good looking fishing t-shirt and the folks over at Apex Predator have stepped up in a big way.

Ap3xPr3dator.com originated in Los Angeles, California as an offshoot of the So Cal Top Guns Fishing Team. After creating several traditional-styled shirts for the club with functionality being paramount (dark colors to hide the blood of the prey and lightweight longsleeve T’s for maximum UV protection while on the water), we were starting to be asked where to buy them.

Our original designs were created in the Southern California Saltwater Sportfishing tradition and make up the Top Guns line. We soon after added the Apex Predator line, a freshwater line with the same Top Guns durability and comfort. More recently, we introduced the Black Labels, our premier line designed to look great both on the water and off. In the near future we will be adding unique vintage “wash” styled shirts of the same quality used by Ed Hardy, Affliction, and others to this line, giving you both the best fishing designs and top quality shirts available anywhere!

Fish Til Death – Shirts By Dave Allen

One thing that is seriously lacking in this world is a good looking fishing shirt. Enter David Allen, fisherman and tattoo artist extraordinaire. Two of our favourite things, tattoos and fishing, together in one tasty t-shirt!

Fishing Fury Opens Registration

That’s right we’ve decided to open up registration again, and with that a lot of features we’ve had waiting in the background for weeks now.

By registering for an account you’ll be able to subscribe to email updates and get notifications when new posts are made, very useful for Contests and Name That Fish posts. You’ll also enjoy moderation free comments, no more waiting for us to approve them, and localized comment avatars! Gravatars should still work, if you have one. We even have a few features for contributors.

It’s also time to start moving forward with things like stickers and t-shirts. I don’t want to give too much away but I will show you some artwork that will be on both stickers and t-shirts. Check out this cool Fishing Fury script by my good friend and tattoo artist Alie K..

Seriously though, there is a huge stack of work to be done around here and exciting things for the future. 2009 will definitely be our largest growth period so far.

Dead Serious! Shark Bait is Dead Sexy

I was going to say something witty, but then I drooled all over myself.

$5 Threadless Shirts!

The only thing better then a cool t-shirt is a cheap cool t-shirt, and Threadless has a bunch of them! They got a big sale, with tons of sweet shirts for $5 each. Here are a few fishing related shirts – sadly most of the normal sizes are already sold out, but if you are an extra small or double XL you may be in luck!

From the Table of Adam Guy – Japanese Cuttlefish

Cuttlefish have been prized since the Edo Period in Japan, primarily as an ingredient for tenpura, but almost every part of the animal can be eaten. Only the stomach, ink sac (after removing and freezing the ink, perhaps for a pasta sauce) and beak is discarded; even the cuttlefish's bony plate can be fed to pet birds or terrestrial molluscs. The most obvious dish is tenpura: my own batter is a half-half mixture of flour and cornflour, folded into cold water in which an egg yolk has been whisked, and deep-fried in sesame oil.
