Heres a quick teaser from one of the most stunning looking fishing films yet, Once In A Blue Moon. I may have to order the DVD next payday, looks too good not to!
Once in a Blue Moon – the fly fishing adventure of a lifetime.
Set amongst the spectacular scenery of southern New Zealand, a truly strange and bizarre tale unfolds. The stuff of folklore, ‘Once in a Blue Moon’ unravels the mystery of an event that occurs briefly once a decade.
This strange and unreal journey takes us into some of the most remote and beautiful parts of New Zealand as we follow one anglers quest to document and unravel a childhood mystery and catch the fish of a lifetime.
Burl Productions brings us The River That Time Forgot – and epic journey through remote outer Mongolia in search of giant taimen. Enjoy!
This is a teaser for a video coming soon from burl productions about a month long expedition to explore a remote river deep in the heartland of outer Mongolia. We covered 140 miles of water that had previously never been floated and fished. Along the way we met some really interesting locals, caught some amazing fish and discovered things about our selves and how we fit into this crazy world we now live in.
You may remember the trailer we showed back in February about the upcoming film, Redfish Cant Jump, well they’re back at it, this time in delicious HD! Check it out!
A great way to raise awareness about these incredible fish…
North Carolina‘s state fish the red drum (Sciaenops ocellatus), aka redfish, puppy drum etc., is being depleted by commercial fishermen using gill nets in inshore waters and estuarine nurseries. While regulated as a “bycatch” fishery by the North Carolina Division of Marine Fisheries an annual quota of 250,000 pounds has been exceeded in year(s) 1998 by 44,366 lbs, in 1999 by 122,942 lbs, in 2000 an excess of 20,953 lbs and now in 2008 there is concern of yet another year of harvest over the established quota!
Agreed, swinging spiked bats around while water skiing is probably very dangerous. That said, I'm sure these guys are professionals :D
If I'm ever in Chicago it will be very tempting to make the 8 hour [...]
Sounds good to me Jon!
Yeah I'm always big on non-lead options too. Something about the reproductive toxicity of lead makes me uneasy in the nether regions.
