Saving The Fishermen Time Lapse

I love time lapse photography, and this one features a fisherman! If you are wondering why everything looks miniature, the photographer is using a tilt-shift lens.

Giant Fish Helped by Fishing!

You would think that fishing for rare and endangered species of fish would be a really bad idea, but in Thailand its a great idea! What started as one mans hobby as turned into a lucrative business. A lake stocked with rare and exotic fish offers visiting fishermen the change to catch rare species of fish without having to remove them from their natural habitat. Lake Monster is one of the few places in the world where anglers have a good chance of catching species such as the dog eating catfish without damaging wild populations. The one rule, every fish must be released.

RIP David Carradine

I cant begin to tell you how many hours I wasted watching Kung Fu: The legend Continues after school. Its always strange to hear about an iconic actor passing away – especially one who could dodge bullets!

The Full Report – Little Vermilion Lake 2007

We packed it in after an hour and headed to a nearby bar called “The Bomb” in Balmertown to grab some food and drink. The beer was good, but the food was pretty greasy and it left a lot to be desired as our last meal before the trip. I don’t think we talked much about food on our last trip, mostly because we didn’t bring any, and the same held true this year. In true Fishing Fury spirit, we we’re to become one with the lake over the next week. Aside from a single case of beer, that miraculously turned up empty on the fourth night, everything we would consume would come from the lake and the fish would be cleaned and cooked by the same hands that caught them, and there is no meal more satisfying than that.
