Re: What type of camera do you take fishing with you?

    Hi

I've just bought the OLYMPUS-MJU850SW :good:
It's water proof and he can resist a fall from 6 foot.
I hope it'll be more resistant than my last cell phone who gave up the fight after taking a dip. :bad:
I hope this ll be a good fishing partner

Re: What type of camera do you take fishing with you?

    Hi
i went fishing today so that was a good opportunity to test the OLYMPUS-MJU850SW.
That's an easy to use camera nothing difficult to understand to start to take picture quickly.
It looks well design and can go in your pocket without problem.
As i didn't catch anything interesting i've tested the macro mode on various flowers and the result is really.
The result with picture of landscape isn't as good but for a fishing camera i think that's a great investment.

Well, only have one Digital at the moment which is a Canon 20D SLR, lol

I havn't done much fishing out in a boat, but I never take it in a boat anyways.. When the camera and lenses cost more then the boat your in, you have second thoughts. haha But looking to get something
more compact for my fishing outings thats easier to handle especially when Im fishing alone.

Re: What type of camera do you take fishing with you?

You could always just get a cheaper Rebel, maybe even a second hand XT/XTi as your camera you're not afraid to break. And it will fit all your d20 lenses when you're on land.

Re: What type of camera do you take fishing with you?

yeah that camera has served me well so far, have to have Canon service it thou, Ive past the 100,000 shutter mark a few months ago, and have had it for 3 1/2 years..

I have no interest in going down to a rebel, too small and not durable. Im aucuatlly working to get a underwater case for my 20D.. Going to get into underwater photography..

I will probly go with one of the Olympus cameras, they are waterproof, dust proof and drop resistant.. I used to work at Henry's and there was one there the reps threw ACROSS the store about 20 feet and out the front door! lol bounced a little into the parking lot! barely a mark, and still worked like it was out of the box! they are a durable camera, and being waterproof to 30 feet, if it goes overboard in shallow water.. as long as i feel like diving after it, then its all good haha, and they have a clear photo with good color! Plus I would rather have something that someone with me can operate if need be. lol and that fits easier in my pocket!

Clive: my Current Lenses consist of 18-55, 55-200, 28-135, 50 1.8. and next purchase is Sigma 170-500, due to plans to heading north to work on more wildlife photos, and I don't feel like getting all that upclose and personal to bears and wolves and Lynx.. lol
