Epic UNUSUAL catch!

Wow folks, just joined this site recently and already have an epic fishing story to tell... Man, Fishing Fury musta given me some good luck, maybe in the fine print it says "if you join the forum you may experience a substantial increase in bigger and more interesting catches!"... lol

So this past Monday evening, 8/31/09... I decide to go fishing at my parents house who reside on the Sandusky River near Fremont, Ohio. I've been in a recent fishing slump so I decide to use dough balls for carp - you know just want to fight a bigger fish regardless of species... was in dire need to hear my drag, been way too long. Who would have ever guessed I wouldn end up bring in a PACU?! I'm still in shock, excited, speechless yet can't quit talking about it.... hard to describe what it's like to catch something like this - so off the wall and unexpected.

I promised the media I wouldn't say anything until the first story was published, and thankfully I didn't have to wait long;

The story is excellent but they leave out a ton of the details of how the actual experience felt, I know I will write a much more detailed version in the future. I also don't know if the other media will cover it more in depth, only time will tell.

HOLY CRAP!!! i was just in fremont yesterday working. i sure don't have your luck here in ohio. that is an incredible catch and i'm looking forward to the reswt of the story

That’s one of the reasons fishing in big rivers is so much fun. You never know what you’re going to catch.

That Pacu still had a bit of growing to do but it's still a great catch...They are one of the quickest growing Fish you will ever see, i had one at 2 inch and within a year had gotten to 13 inch and was getting too big for my tank and had to go...As for those teeth, they're crushers not slashers and mine used to crush and chomp peanuts that were thrown in for it, you could hear the nuts being crushed!
