    11/18/09 Surprise Trout (Ohio)

    I've been a bit scarce around here and on the water for that matter... made it out yesterday to do some Steelhead fishing in a small trib... No Steelhead would comply but I did manage one cool surprise bonus catch. A rather large stream Brown Trout, a big kyped male. Released after some photos. Gotta be one of my favorite species - such neat coloration and patterns. Hit a small swim bait I was casting... had seen a fish pushing some minnows so I tied on the closest offering I had that resembled those minnows, it worked!
