Fishing show help

Hey guys n gals !

Okay , so i was considering putting together a show , which would be something i could create episodes for based around my tournament angling etc etc .. I was looking to brand the show and the thought of helping out fishing fury was high on my priority list. Now , im looking to brand myself based on this .. the great thing about all of this is that i have the ability to market myself online like no other professional angler. My profession for work is Art Director and currently Flash Developer for ZuluAlphaKilo . Lets say if its anything online i have it.

What im looking for is a show name, and first one comes to mind is using the fishing fury branding ofcourse with the approval of fishing fury . My first idea was to call this Fury Fishing , I am looking though for some suggestions. I think this is a great opportunity to help with sponsors , both for me as well as fishing fury. This would also help the team improve their current sponsors viewership.

I think also , with the fresh minds here and the ability to think up new and exciting ways to market the sport we could impact the fishing world in ways that have never been done before. Including strategies encompassing many of the social media outlets online , and can even span into tactical ( and hopefully in some cases viral exposure ) if done correctly. Now dont get me wrong , i understand the term viral isnt an idea which you proclaim is viral but an execution which attains viral status if it reaches to an audience that spreads word itself across a large landscape.


Again this is just a thought , im looking to develop a blog site where these episodes could be viewed since we really have no television outlets with nothing more then even 1 pilot. And thats fine , im looking to build this from the ground up.

Anyways , for starters and again with the good graces of the fury team was wondering for a show name , something which could also accompany the blog. And ofcourse as my initial idea Fury Fishing comes to mind if we could retain the fishing fury brand going forward.

Ideas of show names i currently like ( creatively written )


- Getting School'd by JP Derose
- Facts of Fishing ( dont really like this as its too basic and bland for the type of material i plan to use )
- Last Cull ( i like this , but i also think its a bit vague and someone without tourney fishing in their viens wouldnt get it )
- Real Fishing ( kinda cool but again a little generic )
- Xtreme angler ( its okay but no xtreme anything , its going to be more then xtreme )
- Scott Martin Challenge ( very cool , and a good concept but ofcourse i dont have any claims to fame yet , and i dont think i an audience would want to see me face off against people unless i had some credentials to prove myself)


Anyways , let me know what you guys think ... its a great time of year to think fishing , but in a bit of a different way ...

Fishing Fury would be a great name.....

Real Fishing is close to Joe Thomas' show on outdoor network 'Stihl Reel in the Outdoors'(notice the spelling of real/reel).
Also remember watching a show on Sportsman's Channel that was called Xtreme (something)-think 'Fishing' or something that had the guy that perfected the drop shot - think he was from North Dakota. Also think there is a show called Xtreme Fishing with the crazy Aussies.

Not that you couldn't use these, just pointing out the similarities that would come up in searches.

Some names that popped in my head: The Bass and the Furious, Furious Fishing Xtreme, Reel Furious Fishing. Notice a theme there?! :sarcastic:

Either way you go I wish you the best of luck. And if you ever need guinea pigs for anything fishing related you have a couple of guys in the area that would always help out.

I don't think you need to do a 'Fishing Fury' thing, it's been done and however much you're in love with it, i'm sure you can't nick it :stop:...Real Fishing is too Bob Izumi so i wouldn't nick that one either :stop:...I think 'Getting Spooled' would be a lot better than 'Getting Schooled.'

I love the name “Getting Spooled” but I think that would be more for a big game fishing show.

It will be BIG Fish only, no messing around with small Bass,Perch,Pike,Walleye,Trout etc, this show will just be Marlin,Tarpon,Great White's etc!
