Thanks. I'm not fishing all of those rods that you see in holders on my kayak at the same time. I usually carry four rods, but sometimes carry up to seven (could carry more...), with five on deck and two stowed below - my kayak has storage with a hatch that I can keep and access additional full length rods from where I sit. I like to rig several setups for different situations and just carry them along ready to fish if needed, but I've never used more than two at a time - perfectly legal here in New York and I believe most states in the US. I usually only fish one rod at a time, but occasionally I'll drag a tube while drifting and casting along a shoreline.
