    Iced up some bass...

    Novice ice fisherman here... managed to get out on an area reservoir with some friends that are pretty proficient and they helped me catch 3 LM Bass through the ice. It was an absolute blast and I can see why some people get into ice fishing so much. The targeted species was yellow perch but after hours of me not being able to catch any they recommended I go shallow by a weed bed and I found some action. Little jig tipped with two waxworms did the trick. Prior to this ice trip I had only caught dink bluegill and a single 12" trout through the ice in my entire life...
