    2009 Musky Odyssey

Had a great time as usual. Nice to see some folk that I don't get to see very often!
Only took in one seminar, Bob Mehsikomers. Quite honestly, I'm still scratching my head as to what the hell he was talking about...assigning numbers from 1-10 based on the structure you're fishing, wind and weather, moon phases. Sounds good and all, and might work, but he didn't bother to tell us what makes a spot a 10 vs. a 2 :scratch_ones_head:...anyhow...
Here's a few pics of some bait's I picked up:
    A few new Boo Dadley's

    A few more new baits.
2 13" Grandma's, and a Clown Depth Raider I won from the prize table. $40 worth of tickets, turned into $90 worth of baits. Not too shabby!
Also, a Hawg Seekers Tackle Hawg Seeker, (amazing underwater side to side action, adn works great on a straight retrieve as well) and Slow Tease (Suick style jerkbait.)

And my 2 new best friends.
A homemde version of a Legend Perchbait, handcrafted by a great friend. Wire through construction, and lexan lip. Should be great trolling deeper water.
Secondly, another basement bait. This is an 09 Hosebait, fashioned after a Parrywinkle. Wire through again, but this time with an aluminum lip. Should add a ton of flash!

Thats a 4" Rapala throw in there for scale

A great time for sure. Thanks to Bill and especially Tania for driving there and back. We just happened to be on the Burlington Skyway at the height of the storm. You could hardly see the car ahead of you. Crazy stuff!

Awesome photos! I'd definitely love to hear more about this scoring system, though it sounds like you would too! :taunt:

I seriously would love to understand it better. I mean, there has to be something to his success besides just time on the water. He's got 98 muskies over 50", so he must be onto something

To quote the greatest movie of all time:
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."

Yeah, the lures are massive. I get up to fish Gloucester Pool once or twice a year, and we usually troll for a bit. My buddy always says to throw on my deepest diving bait, which is normally a Believer that might hit 15-20'. Those bad boys should hit 30+ depending how much line I have out.
Now everyday use baits, but another section of the water column covered :good:
