How much do you spend on fishing?
So this is the time of year to get ready for spring fishing. I usually get some lures or a reel for Christmas, but it look like its up to me to supply my own this year. When I was single I'd spend well over $1000 a year on equipment (not including trips and gas of course). These days I'm lucky to spend $2-300.
How much do you guys spend each year on fishing?

Re: How much do you spend on fishing?
It seems that we:"French people" have a problem with alcohol
So Nicolas Point is maybe important.
Anyway I think i waste way to much money in fishing especially in lures. But who can resist thoses flashy little things. :P

Seriously,
One month ago I was thinking “Seriously, I spent far too much this year >
” I cannot resist to these baits which looks at me with the beautiful eyes.
and two days ago I offered myself the rod of my dreams. :

Re: How much do you spend on fishing?
Way, way too much. I honestly think I have a problem. I cannot count the amount of times I've walked out of Bass Pro spending over $400.00, and just spent about $250.00 on my daughter this Xmas too. My basement consist of enough lures to feed a small army of hungry fisherman, have enough rods and reels to support a boy scout troop. The funny thing is I'll buy all these new lures and end up almost exclusively using Williams Woblers/Bullies anyways. And for bass I've switched to almost all crankbaits.
And of course on top of the overspending on normal stuff, last fall we got all the stuff to start making our own lures. And next month I'm getting all the stuff to start making our own rods. I would say there is about 4-5 of us here in Toledo that have put alot of time and money.
Don't get me started on my boat either.....

Definitely way too much, I have a pretty vast collection of gear which never feels complete thanks to the new lures and gear that comes out every year. I'm even thinking about getting a fly fishing setup this year. Thank god I'm not into cars..

Re: How much do you spend on fishing?
I am very aware of what I spend. I am currently in the midst of packing up my house to move and have already packed 2 large rubbermaids full of plastics and 4 boxes of hardbaits, without a noticeable dent in the fishing room, It never ends. This week I just added my second Gloomis rod to my collection and I am starting to think I have too much. Along with the gas powered auger I picked up for the ice season I have spent just shy of a grand in the last month. Prolly over a grand if we add in all the minnows I have been going thru this ice season :sarcastic: No more $$ for fishing this month , I have a D40 and a 42' lcd to pay for , lol. It never ends does it lads??

A new camera and a new TV - damn son, how much of a raise did you get?
So now that you have a solid camera, I expect to see some fishing photos!
We just added 2 new cameras to or lineup - and got rid of one. The Canon Rebel XS is now my main camera :good:
