So I got in to work today and my package had finally arrived! I purchased an hdr2 jack from doc-diy.net (http://www.doc-diy.net/photo/hdr-jack2/) about a week ago, and was hoping and praying it would get here before my trip this weekend- and today it did!!
The HDR2 Jack is a bulb attachment for my DSLR that allows me to easily take HDR (high dynamic range) photos as well as functioning as an intervalometer, which is just a fancy way of saying it takes multiple pictures at an interval. This way I can do stuff like clives egg timer video or videos of the sky moving or sun setting. I'll put some example videos from youtube at the bottom.
Its worth noting that the HDR2 jack is "hacked" to perform most of these functions, the creator Luk Panek was kind enough to sell me one of the remaining jacks that had the connector for my 7D.
The shots below were not taken by myself, but I will be taking some on a trip this weekend.
