You’re going to have a great time with your bass boat. I know I miss mine every time I go fishing.

Re: Newest Purchase
nicely done ! hopefully they gave you a good deal ...
for a 94 she looks to be in great shape !
things to check and always watch for ! the older bass boats sometimes run wood ... mine actually has wood in spots aswell which is okay ... check for rotting , the wood is always treated and in most cases wrapped in fiberglass anyways ...
just watch for areas particularly where the motor is mounted .. thats usually the first and most important place to look and make sure shes tight and locked down well ....
so you dont end up looking like bob izumi on lake simcoe and drop one on a big wave !
i love bass boats personally , i would never buy anything else ! ENJOY !!
and yea , like ken mentioned ... with great pleasures comes great pains ... learn to understand your new baby and dont shy off of details ... make sure that motor is well taken care off , keep your batteries charged and your lines tight my friend !!
last but not least , my faaaaavvv thing about a bass boat ? is the trailoring system...
launching is easy ... when you go to pull out of the water do this ...
1. back the whole trailor in the water and wet all the pads this way...
2. pull the trailor out so the fenders and sticking out of the water enough you can still ride up the trailor.
3 ride up , the guides will set your boat perfectly straight
4. trim up a bit and ride her up the rest of the way till your latch bumps your trailor latch ( be careful not to fly up ) gently slowely and carefully ( dont worry the guides will keep your boat secure for sure )
5. latch up .. throw the safety on , trim up the rest of the way
and your done ...
when you get used to this , launching and pulling out will turn into a process that encompases no more then 5 mins combined ... and you'll have the people at the docks with their heads spinning at how easy you make it look ....
enjoy !

Re: Newest Purchase
Very nice buy! Also watch out for the solinoid on the foot pedal of those trolling motors, they can break easily and unexpectedly, leaving you without a trolling motor. It's happened to Szomo when I was on his boat early in the season and it happened when I was at springwood..
Maybe the rule should be don't fish with me or your trolling motor might break LOLYes, Ed F took my avatar photo.

Re: Newest Purchase
Most of the time, the boat will be sitting at Sparrow Lake. Sunday will be it's maiden voyage.
